Dear Friends,

Thousands of our fellow Georgians and millions in Floridians remain without power due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irma, but crews are working around the clock to remedy this difficult situation.

In fact, my household and the homes of several members of my district staff did not have power restored until Wednesday evening.

We are all coming together to help our friends, family and neighbors put their homes and lives back in order. I'll be assessing Irma damage in Georgia on Sept. 15 with a delegation led by Secretary Sonny Perdue.

I'm holding an important event this month connecting local small businesses with federal resources. This will help our small businesses grow and create good jobs right here in the Fourth District.

As President Trump, members of his family and Administration continue to top headlines for their ties with Russian officials, I have continued to fight for you on the issues, including improving the Affordable Care Act (ACA), tax reform and ensuring our election and voting systems are secure.

With each passing day, President Trump and members of his Administration continue to face scrutiny and investigation into their ties with Russian officials.

I will remain diligent on the issues that matter to the 4^th district, whether it be Veteran Affairs, Immigration, Transportation Projects, Housing, Equal opportunities and Equal rights, or Social Security benefits. That is what keeps me in office. However I cannot, we cannot, stand by and let the President dismiss these investigations from his Twitter page.

I am increasingly disturbed by recent reports of potential obstruction of justice and intelligence leaking from a Trump Administration, which is constantly at the center of scandal.
