Dear Friends,

This week I hosted a small business Think Tank at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston, where more than 100 small business owners connected with federal resources, and we held informative panels on access to capital and government contracting.

I want to thank all our panelists, agencies and businesses for participating in this great event. I hope to host more of these kinds of meetings soon.

It was the culmination of a series of meetings my office has held this summer throughout the Fourth District connecting small businesses with federal resources.

It comes at a perfect time as Democrats in Congress have launched "A Better Deal," proposal to create 10 million good-paying, full-time jobs over the next five years.

If you missed the Think Tank but wanted to attend, we streamed it on Facebook and can be found in a two-part video series HERE.

EQUIFAX BREACH: After Equifax disclosed on Sept. 7 that it suffered a massive data breach that exposed 143 million U.S. consumers' most sensitive data, I joined my Judiciary Committee colleagues in writing a letter to Equifax, Experian and TransUnion demanding answers – particularly on their use of forced arbitration clauses that hurt consumers.
