WHY: To honor National Nonprofit Day and uplift the critical work of community-based organizations, Congressman Hank Johnson is hosting his annual “Week of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Elevate)” The initiative includes:
- Grants Workshop Series (Aug. 17-20): Free, virtual workshops for nonprofit leaders and local officials to strengthen grant writing, explore alternative funding, and learn about Community Project Funding | To register: click HERE. New this year are one-on-one coaching sessions with grant writing professionals. To apply for coaching, click HERE.
- A Day in My Shoes (Aug. 21): Rep. Johnson and staff will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity DeKalb.
- H.O.P.E. Awards Ceremony (Aug. 22): A special in-person celebration recognizing outstanding nonprofits making a difference across the 4th District.
Each event is designed to support, educate, and celebrate organizations working to improve lives and build stronger communities.
