*PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VERIFY WHO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE IS. My office can only assist constituents in Georgia's 4th Congressional District. If you're seeking help with your passport, please contact the appropriate representative for your area.

If you've already reached out to another congressional office (such as Senators Warnock or Ossoff), please avoid contacting my office as well. Doing so may cause delays and duplicate efforts. For the same issue, please submit your Privacy Release Form to only one office.*

My office is here to assist you with your passport application by coordinating with the Atlanta Passport Agency or other regional passport centers to ensure you receive your passport in a timely manner. Please be aware that the Department of State requires a signed Privacy Act Consent Form before we can inquire about the status of your application.

To proceed, please complete the REQUIRED DIGITAL PRIVACY RELEASE FORM and select the Department of State as the agency involved. Note that my office can only assist constituents residing in Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District.

Before submitting the form, I encourage you to review this page and the provided links carefully. When completing the form, please ensure you provide my office with the following information:

  1. The information for whoever needs the passport.
  2. The passport application locator number (if you already applied).
  3. Provide your date of travel.
  4. Attach proof of travel.

Note: With the current wait times for passports increasing, I recommend that constituents who need passport assistance from my office to contact us 14 days prior to the date of travel. Additionally, for those who are seeking assistance with getting an appointment with the Atlanta Passport Agency, please keep in mind there are no guarantees. My office is only permitted to reach out 14 calendar days prior to your travel date to inquire about an appointment at the Atlanta Passport Agency.

The Atlanta Passport Agency is an arm of the U.S. Department of State. They are tasked with verifying citizenship and issuing passports to United States citizens who apply and pay a fee.

Occasionally, you may run into difficulties with your passport processing – whether it's an emergency need for international travel, difficulty in determining the status of your application, or missing documents.

For your convenience, we have provided the public number to the National Passport Information Center (NPIC). This number can be used to make appointments at any of the passport agencies nationwide and provide general passport information.

How my office may assist:
  1. If you are travelling within 21 days:
    • If you need to schedule a passport appointment and have not yet applied, make an appointment online. Your appointment must be scheduled within 14 calendar days of your international travel date. If you have already applied, call the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) at 1-877-487-2778 (1-888-874-7793 TDD/TTY) to check for available appointment dates.
    • If you're unable to secure an appointment through NPIC, please complete the Privacy Release Form, and we will assist you in potentially securing an appointment that works best for you. Please note that appointment slots are limited, and depending on the timing of your request, we may not be able to secure an appointment before your scheduled travel date.
    • If you are successful in securing an appointment at the Atlanta Passport Agency—whether through NPIC or our office—you will be able to receive your passport the same day. However, please be aware that it will usually be available for pick-up after 3 PM.
  2. If you are travelling within 30 days:
    • If you already applied for your passport, my office can reach out to the passport agency or center that has your application. We will alert the agency/center of your travel date and request they issue the passport before your travel.
  3. If you are travelling in more than 30 days:
    • Please note that the processing for expedited passports are 2-3 weeks from the date the agency or passport center receives your application. The processing time for routine passports is 4-6 weeks from the date the agency or passport center receives your application. You can check when the agency or passport center received your application by checking your passport application status.

To expedite an application that was originally filed for routine processing, you may have to pay an additional $60 to upgrade your application to expedited processing. You may also add a 1-2 delivery service of your completed passport book for an extra $21.36. One-to-two-day delivery is not available for passport cards. The Department of State only sends cards via First Class Mail. Our office can request these upgrades if you are willing to provide us with your payment information. If you would prefer to make this request yourself, please do so by contacting the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) at 1-877-487-2778 (1-888-874-7793 TDD/TTY).

If you renewed online, you can login to your MyTravelGov account and upgrade to expedited service or pay for 1-2 delivery service of your completed passport book. You can pay for these additional services in your account up until the time that your application is approved.
