Dear Friends,
As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to take time out to catch you up with what’s going on here in the Fourth District and in Washington, D.C. I was very fortunate to give keynote speeches at both the Greater Lithonia Chamber of Commerce’s 20-year anniversary on Nov. 6 and at the DeKalb County Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 7.
Dear Friends,
Dear Friends,
It’s hard to believe the summer is nearly over, kids are back at school and fall is around the corner. It’s been a busy August so let’s jump right in.

Dear Friends,
My staff and I take great pride in providing the best constituent services possible. Since taking office in 2007, I have helped secure more than $24.5 million in constituent services for residents of the Fourth District seeking help with federal agencies.
Dear Friends,
This past week, the Supreme Court engaged in historic overreach, ignoring their own precedents and disregarding evidence of ongoing discrimination at the polls when they invalidated Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act.
A call for strong, swift action by the Congress is now front and center.
Dear friends,
My staff and I had a productive week during the Memorial Day work period. I had the pleasure of visiting the Mitcham Cattle Co. and strawberry farm to discuss agricultural issues, host a senior citizen meet & greet in Newton County to discuss federal benefits and services, attended DeKalb County Commissioner Stan Watson’s Saturday morning legislative meeting on veterans’ issues and homeownership and discuss labor issues at the International Association of Machinists’ 125-year anniversary celebration.
