WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted to empower communities to prevent incidents of gun violence before they occur. The Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act empowers family members and law enforcement to seek a federal court order to temporarily remove access to guns from those who pose a danger to themselves or others, while incentivizing states to adopt their own so-called "red flag laws."

DECATUR—On April 13th Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), hosted a four-stop tour to highlight his successful effort to secure nearly $5 million in funding for Community Projects throughout Georgia's Fourth Congressional District.

This funding, included in federal fiscal year (FY) 2022 appropriations, responds directly to several pressing needs in the district.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Reps. David Scott (GA-13), Hank Johnson (GA-04) and Nikema Williams (GA-05) announced today that three organizations in DeKalb County, Decatur and Atlanta will receive a total of more than $2.1 million in Public Health AmeriCorps funding from AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism.

The grants will support 87 Public Health AmeriCorps members in Congressional Districts 4, 5 and 13.

By capping out-of-pocket expenses, the Affordable Insulin Now Act will ensure that Georgians pay no more than $35 for a monthly supply of insulin.
