I’m very pleased to announce that I’m holding my 2016 Resources Fair on February 18, 2016, at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Fair will help connect constituents with local, state and federal agencies that will provide job-readiness training, information on the television & film industry and employment opportunities.

Calls for Action in New Year to Create Jobs and Deliver Bigger Paychecks to Hard-working Americans
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Johnson (GA-05) voted against a Republican bill this week that would dismantle the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood. This Republican Reconciliation bill would take away affordable health coverage from 22 million Americans, and would strip away family planning services and life-saving cancer screenings from millions of women across the country.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte requesting a full hearing to carefully review the issue of pre-dispute (“forced”) arbitration clauses that appear in millions of consumer contracts – from employment to automobile sales and from nursing-home admission to cell phone service.

Congressman introduces bill to protect traveling public by requiring automatic braking systems

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to make highways around the nation safer for drivers, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) introduced the “Safe Roads Act of 2015” (H.R. 3536).

In April of 2015, five nursing students were killed and three others seriously injured when a tractor-trailer failed to stop and plowed into traffic that had stopped on I-16 in Georgia.
