Bill Heeds President Obama’s Call to Give All Americans a Fair Shot

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Representatives Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Hank Johnson (D-GA), and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) introduced the Fair Employment Opportunity Act of 2014 today, which would prohibit employers and employment agencies from discriminating against unemployed job-seekers by refusing to consider them for employment. President Obama is convening a meeting on the subject with business leaders this Friday.

National Association of Chinese Americans holding ACA event in Clarkston with congressman

LITHONIA, GA – On Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m., Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is co-hosting a free information event on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at Georgia Piedmont Technical College on North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkson.

Small business owners and individuals can receive help applying for health insurance through the marketplace exchanges created under the ACA. Certified community health centers and navigators will assist qualified applicants.
