WASHINGTON – The Department of Justice today filed the second largest fair lending settlement in the department’s history to resolve allegations that Wells Fargo Bank, the largest residential home mortgage originator in the United States, engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination against qualified African-American and Hispanic borrowers in its mortgage lending from 2004 through 2009.

“After more than a century of debate, the American people won an historic victory with passage of the Affordable Care Act.
Thank you for inviting me to speak at this critically important event.
More than 1.2 million people in the United States currently live with HIV/AIDS, and more than one in five who are positive are not even aware of their status.
That is why I applaud the National Association of People with AIDS, or NAPWA, for advocating for increased testing.
Congressman: Federal funds allow sheriff’s department to hire seven officers
