As I return home from a busy Congressional schedule, I wanted to touch base, and give you an update on what I've been working on in Washington, but also what's on tap in August here in the district.
A few weeks ago, you told me in response to an e-letter survey that gun violence and the price of gas and groceries were your most important issues. I heard you loud and clear.

In recent weeks, our country has been gripped by gun violence. Lives have been lost and families and communities shattered. Gun violence happens so frequently that it often does not even make the news. In fact, gun violence has plagued our country and communities for decades.
I want to wish everyone a happy, safe and healthy Fourth of July holiday weekend!
I hope you and your family had a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July holiday weekend. On the day that marked our independence, our nation was scarred again by mass gun violence, which shows we have so much more work to do to address this crisis – here in Georgia and around the nation.
