Community Projects Report & Issue Survey
July 8, 2022
I hope you and your family had a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July holiday weekend. On the day that marked our independence, our nation was scarred again by mass gun violence, which shows we have so much more work to do to address this crisis – here in Georgia and around the nation.
I'm writing this week to announce that I secured the inclusion of more than $15 million for 13 community projects in Georgia's Fourth District in the FY23 appropriations – Congress's annual spending plan.
The inclusion of this funding in the Appropriations Committee bills is just the first step in the process.
I worked with the community to identify and support projects that will make a critical difference in the lives of people throughout Georgia's Fourth District. If approved, funding will support projects for MARTA, workforce development, affordable housing, resources for foster youth, education, PATH walking and biking trails, victims of domestic violence and legal aid for constituents who cannot afford an attorney.
It is my job to fight for our district in Congress, and I am proud to have put forward these critical projects from Clarkston to Conyers, Covington to Tucker and everywhere in between. I will continue to fight for our district to ensure that we receive the federal funding we need to make our community stronger.
As I said, the inclusion of this funding in the Appropriations Committee bills is the first step in the funding process. The 2022 fiscal year ends Sept. 30, and I will continue to fight for this funding as the bills are considered on the House Floor, and in negotiations with the Senate.

As always, I appreciate your time and feedback. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to represent you in Congress. If you have any issues with a federal agency, please don't hesitate to call my district office at 770-987-2291. Below is a brief survey that will help me understand what the most important issues are to you and your family. Please participate and make your voices heard. Please choose your top two issues. Thank you.
