Congressman leads GA delegation on letter to Defense Secretary Hagel

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) today sent a letter to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel urging the Defense Department not to close the commissary at Fort McPherson in College Park before a new one is built at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta.

"Today, I join my colleagues to honor the lives we lost 12 years ago. On that fateful September day, innocent men, women, and children boarded planes and some set off for work as they had so many times before.

Rep. Johnson (GA-04) released the following statement after President Obama’s remarks on Syria this afternoon:

LITHONIA, GA – “I don’t believe the President needs Congressional approval to conduct limited strikes in Syria, however I respect his decision to seek authorization. At this time, I am deeply skeptical that use of force is in our national interest.”
