Congressman Johnson welcomes return of 2015 Congressional Arts Competition; scholarships worth $20,000 at stake
LITHONIA, GA – Rep. Hank Johnson looks forward to hosting this year’s 2015 Congressional Arts Competition, an annual event displaying the community’s finest young artists.
Since 2007, Rep. Johnson has awarded $252,000 in arts scholarships to more than 30 Fourth District students.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Johnson announced that, on the 5th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, a new report shows that hundreds of thousands of people in Georgia are benefiting from this landmark health care law.
“Over the last five years since the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, millions of Americans have been seeing the benefits of the law, including lower costs and better coverage,” Rep. Johnson said. “This includes hundreds of thousands of people in Georgia.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today he earned a 91 percent from The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) on their 2014 National Environmental Scorecard, which tallies the performance of every member of Congress every year on key environmental votes.
Rep. Johnson’s lifetime score is 94 percent, the highest in the Georgia delegation. His score of 91 percent for 2014 tied Civil Rights legend Rep. John Lewis.
