WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), the Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, today introduced two bills: the bipartisan Application Privacy, Protection and Security (APPS) Act of 2018 (H.R. 6547), a bill to increase consumer privacy on mobile devices, and the DATA Act of 2018 (H.R. 6548) that makes it easier for consumers to correct and opt out of big data collection and use.

Congressman Hank Johnson held a telephone town hall from his Washington, D.C. office on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. He called more than 50,000 residents in the Fourth District to hear their thoughts on a wide-range of issues such as what the Democratic Party is doing to make sure their voice is heard on Capitol Hill and the Trump Administrator's immigration policies at our borders.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) issued the following statement to recognize Juneteenth:

"Today, we celebrate the African-American community and commemorate Juneteenth.

"This Juneteenth marks the 153rd celebration of the ending of slavery in this nation, and since then we have made significant strides in the expansion of civil rights. We have outlawed segregation, integrated our schools and done important work to increase access to the polls.

"Nonetheless, even 153 years later, America and her laws remain prejudiced.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—On Wednesday, June 13 Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) congratulated four recent Redan High School graduates from the winning team for this year's 2018 National SIFMA Capitol Hill Challenge's Stock Market Game at his Washington, D.C. office.

"These young minds deserve to be recognized and celebrated," said Congressman Johnson. "We must continue to foster all of our students' interests in the financial market and support their efforts to become self-sufficient with their finances and their understanding of the global markets."
