Congressman Johnson is a senior member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee (T&I). Congressman Johnson has focused on transportation equity – which will ensure that low income Americans will have access to safe and reliable transportation. In addressing critical infrastructure needs of Georgia, he states that "Federal investments should include funds supporting state efforts to add additional standard and HOV lanes to major highways in the metro Atlanta region as well as other major causeways throughout the state." He has been a strong advocate for MARTA rail expansion into south DeKalb. Congressman Johnson has led a push to prioritize public transit investments in Georgia.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced he has secured positions as a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee and the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee (T&I).
He was also elected by his peers as the ranking member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, which he served as chairman of during the 117th Congress.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted to pass the FY 2023 government funding legislation. The bill delivers historic investments in American families and workers while strengthening Democracy at home and abroad. This legislation was passed by the Senate yesterday – and was passed in the House today. It will now head to the President’s desk for signature. It funds the federal government until Sept. 2023.
