Congressman Johnson has focused on transportation equity – which will ensure that low income Americans will have access to safe and reliable transportation. In addressing critical infrastructure needs of Georgia, he states that "Federal investments should include funds supporting state efforts to add additional standard and HOV lanes to major highways in the metro Atlanta region as well as other major causeways throughout the state." He has been a strong advocate for MARTA rail expansion into south DeKalb. Congressman Johnson has led a push to prioritize public transit investments in Georgia.
