LITHONIA, GA - El congresista Hank Johnson (GA- 04) invita a los residentes del Cuarto de Distrito a proteger su identidad y ayudar a prevenir fraude durante la temporada de impuestos siguiendo algunas pautas básicas recomendadas por el Servicio de Impuestos Internos (IRS por sus siglas en inglés).

El robo de identidad de impuestos es la forma más común de robo de identidad reportada a la Comisión Federal de Comercio (FTC por sus siglas en inglés). Entre el 13 y 17 de enero se reconoce la Semana de Concientización sobre esta modalidad de robo de identidad.

Last week in Washington, I voted in favor of the bipartisan budget proposal. It wasn’t everything that I wanted, but it represents a modest step toward enacting a budget and preventing further manufactured crises that only harm our economy, destroy jobs, and weaken our middle class.

Some members of the House went into these budget talks insisting on cuts to initiatives that families and seniors depend on – but the bipartisan deal does not cut Medicare, Social Security, or Medicaid benefits.

LITHONIA, GA – On Friday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) will hold a free information event on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at Georgia Piedmont Technical College on North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkson.

Small business owners and individuals can receive help applying for health insurance through the marketplace exchanges created under the ACA. Certified community health centers and navigators will assist qualified applicants.
