Congressman’s fights police militarization; secures passage of five (5) key amendments in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) adopted for FY16
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) announced today that he successfully passed several key amendments in the FY16 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) this week. In an 18-hour marathon session, the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) considered hundreds of amendments to the spending legislation. The following are several key amendments Rep. Since Open Enrollment began on Nov. 15, 2014, 7.75 million consumers selected a plan or were automatically re-enrolled through the HealthCare.gov platform, including 468,464 in Georgia.
This Sunday, Feb. 15, marks the deadline and end of Open Enrollment for the 2015 Health Insurance Marketplaces. It is important for individuals in Georgia who have not yet signed up for coverage to visit Healthcare.gov before the Feb. 15 deadline.
