The House Committee on Appropriations announced it will be accepting Community Project Funding (CPF) requests from Members. This is in addition to the standard programmatic and language-based requests. Each Member is limited to no more than 15 Community Project Funding requests across all eligible subcommittees for Fiscal Year 2025 and there is no guarantee that all requested projects will be funded. The FY2025 CPF process has a limited scope with combined earmarks capped at 1% of all discretionary spending and eligible accounts restricted to those listed in the table below.

Johnson Supports Funding for Ukraine, Taiwan; Votes Against Funding Israel’s War in Gaza
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted today in support of the series of critical security supplemental bills -- save for Israel’s War in Gaza -- that provide much-needed defense assistance to our allies and partners around the world.
Rep. Johnson said sending more offensive weapons to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was an untenable position.
During Black Maternal Health Week, Georgia Democrats led by Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) partnered with the Centers For Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Together they released a video raising awareness of the fact that Black women in Georgia and nationwide are three times more likely to die from pregnancy than White women. Georgia has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the country.

This funding, included in the first of the appropriations government funding packages, responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in Georgia’s Fourth District – which is currently comprised of parts of DeKalb County, Newton County, and all of Rockdale County.
