Normally this time of year, I would be writing a speech for a program at the Walk of Heroes Veterans Memorial Park in Rockdale County and preparing words of encouragement for the DeKalb County Veterans Affairs Advisory Annual Memorial Day ceremony.
But this year is obviously different.
Representative Johnson, thank you for agreeing to answer questions for our new Heroes on the Hill series of Q&A's. Given your position as the Chair of the IP Subcommittee, we wanted to get your thoughts on matters of copyright policy. First, can you tell us how you became interested in copyrights?
Today, I returned to Washington to vote in support of The Heroes Act, crucial legislation to address the COVID-19 health and economic crisis. Our communities, workers and families urgently need more relief to weather the pandemic.
Many of our frontline heroes are at risk of losing their jobs, even as they risk their lives to care for us.
Today, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted to pass H.R. 6800, The Heroes Act.
In these trying times it is often difficult to find a bright spot, but Asian & Pacific Islander American (AAPI) Heritage Month give us the chance to do just that.
