LITHONIA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA), who represents parts of DeKalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties, has named Atlanta attorney Martin D. Chitwood to the congressional Georgia Judicial Review Committee.

Replacing former state Sen. David Adelman, who is now U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, Chitwood is the lead partner in Chitwood Harley Harnes LLC in Atlanta.

It’s not too late to mail back your 2010 Census form. It’s critical that all Georgians participate because the Census determines where more than $400 billion in federal funding goes for roads, hospitals, schools, senior centers, emergency services and mass transit.

It just takes a few minutes to answer the 10 questions but our collective response will directly affect critical federal investment in our community.

LITHONIA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA), who represents parts of DeKalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties, today urged residents to mail their 2010 Census forms by April 16.

Those who do not have a form should call one of the phone numbers below to request delivery of one. Forms are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Russian.

It’s been a refreshing but busy work period – and it was good to see everyone. Whether it was Stan Watson’s breakfast meeting at New Piney Grove Baptist Church in south DeKalb, Lynwood Park United Church of God in Christ in Brookhaven or the Embry Hills Branch Library opening near Chamblee, it was a pleasure to get a chance to visit with constituents and hear your concerns.

Congressman to mail in his census at Wesley Chapel Post Office:

LITHONIA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA), who represents parts of DeKalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties, is encouraging the public to return their 2010 Census forms.

Instead of just talking about it, Congressman Johnson will lead by example.

On Thursday, April 1 on Census Day, Congressman Johnson will post his family’s census form in the mail at the Wesley Chapel Post Office at 3 p.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson’s (D-GA) today announced that he has returned $55,000 to the United States Treasury to help pay down the federal deficit.

“As Georgians everywhere are tightening their belts more than ever, so too must every member of Congress,” said Johnson, who represents parts of DeKalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties. “While our constituents are being forced to do more with less, we must redouble our efforts to be the best stewards we can of hard-earned taxpayer dollars.”
