Johnson: There is no place for a federal judge who uses racist, divisive language
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) today called for Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull to resign.
In a letter to Judge Cebull, Congressman Johnson said: “you flagrantly violated the Judicial Code of Conduct, and I am urging you to resign from your position on the federal District Court for Montana effective immediately."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced he is cosponsoring H.R. 4098, the “Shield Our Streets Act,” which would allow local law enforcement agencies to hire new officers, rehire officers who have been laid off due to budget cuts and invest in new public safety equipment.
As a result of state cuts, local governments face dwindling law enforcement budgets and police department resources are being stretched thin in order to make up the difference.

Hank Johnson (GA-04), co-chair of the U.S. House Rare Earth Caucus, today asked Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta for an update regarding a months-late Department of Defense report assessing the U.S. military’s dependence on rare earth elements and risks associated with the rare earth element supply chain. Currently, China accounts for 97% of global rare earth element production.
