WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today reintroduced his bipartisan bill, the Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Simplification Act of 2020, with Rep. Steve Chabot (OH-01). The bipartisan and bicameral legislation simplifies state income tax requirements for employees who spend 30 days or less working in states outside the state of their residence.

Rep. Johnson Recognized for Efforts to Defend Democracy

DECATUR, GA – This year marks the 10th anniversary of the devastating Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC that put a "for sale" sign our elections, allowing corporate special interests and megadonors to buy more political power and influence in Washington. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On Thursday, Rep. Johnson voted in favor of a War Powers Resolution to limit President Trump's military actions regarding Iran. This resolution reiterates that only Congress can declare war and affirms that Congress has not authorized the use of military force against Iran. Hence, it states that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration's military hostilities with regard to Iran must end.

Hank Johnson (GA-04) responded to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling against the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate and asking of the district court, which had previously struck down the entirety of the ACA, to determine next steps. Rep. Johnson highlighted the devastating impact that this ruling could have on more than 460,000 Georgians, especially those with pre-existing conditions. Nationwide, more than 130 million Americans will be be impacted.
