WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today that his 2020 Congressional App Challenge (CAC), an app competition for students in middle and high school, is officially open.

The CAC accepts computer programs (or apps) written in any programming language, for any platform (desktop/PC, web, mobile, raspberry Pi, etc.).

DECATUR, GA — Today, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that Rockdale and Gwinnett Counties will receive more than $830,000 from FEMA to aid non-profits who are helping those who are hungry and often homeless during the pandemic crisis.

The money allocated from FEMA combines Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) annual funding with funds designated for food and shelter support under the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act; or the CARES Act.

DECATUR, GA -- What happened to Ahmaud that Sunday afternoon in southwest Georgia is nothing short of a 21st century lynching. And just like in the old days, law enforcement officials and prosecutors have looked the other way and allowed the vigilantes to escape justice. The Brunswick vigilantes should be arrested and charged with murder. They are entitled to a presumption of innocence and should have their day in court facing a jury of their peers. Justice demands that they be treated no differently than if they were Black.
