Hank Johnson (GA-04) and Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) led a letter urging President Joe Biden to call for an immediate ceasefire agreement in Israel and the Palestinian territories to prevent further loss of life and further escalation of violence. The letter also calls on the President to delay a $735 billion arms sale to Israel until a cease fire has been achieved.

Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted for H.R. 3233, legislation to establish an independent, bipartisan 9/11-type commission to examine and report upon the facts, causes and security relating to the terrorist mob attack on the United States Capitol on January 6th, 2021. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On Thursday, May 27 at 8 PM ET, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) held a Congressional Black Caucus event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre -- when a mob of white residents set fire to "Black Wall Street" on May 31 and June 1, 1921. Hundreds of Black-owned businesses and homes in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma, were destroyed and an estimated 300 Black residents were murdered. More than 10,000 Black residents were left homeless.
DECATUR, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is urging hardworking families in Georgia's Fourth District to file their taxes before the upcoming May 17th deadline to ensure they receive the accurate amount in new advance monthly Child Tax Credit payments they are entitled to as soon as possible.
Johnson said the expanded and improved Child Tax Credit could lift more than 14,000 children in Georgia's Fourth district out of poverty and more than half of those out of deep poverty.
