WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to lower prescription drug prices by streamlining and making it more cost effective for generic drug makers to get their products to consumers for certain categories of often high-priced drugs called "biologics," Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA-04) and Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA-50) reintroduced the Affordable Prescriptions for Patients Through Improvements to Patent Litigation as an amendment to the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act of 2009 (BPCIA).

DECATUR, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that two Fourth District Community Health Centers will receive a total of $6.5 million in American Rescue Plan funds to expand their COVID-19 vaccination and treatment operations. The resources are part of the American Rescue Plan's investments to expand access to vaccines in underserved communities.

Fourth District-based federal community health centers receiving funds:

• Oakhurst Medical Centers of Stone Mountain: $5,481,500

• Recovery Consultants, Inc. of Decatur: $976,875
