Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that Oakhurst Medical Center is receiving more than $99,000 in Quality Improvement grant awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
DECATUR, GA — Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that Oakhurst Medical Center is receiving more than $99,000 in Quality Improvement grant awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The award is part of more than $2.8 million in federal funds for health centers across Georgia, which will use the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants to improve the quality, efficiency and the effectiveness of healthcare for the communities they serve.

Congressman Hank Johnson held a telephone town hall from his Washington, D.C. office on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. He called more than 50,000 residents in the Fourth District to hear their thoughts on a wide-range of issues such as what the Democratic Party is doing to make sure their voice is heard on Capitol Hill and the Trump Administrator's immigration policies at our borders.

News that the Trump Administration's Department of Justice will refuse to defend the constitutionality of key provisions of the historic, life-saving Affordable Care Act in an upcoming lawsuit in Texas proves there is a cynical sabotage campaign of Americans' health care.
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) blasted Republicans' attacks on health insurance protections for people with pre-existing conditions, as the Trump Administration announced it will argue in court that the Affordable Care Act's provisions preventing insurance companies from denying coverage or charging more for pre-existing conditions should be struck down.
DECATUR, GA – On the eighth anniversary of President Obama's signing of the Affordable Care Act, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) called on Republicans to stop their sabotage and instead protect and improve Americans' health care by working to lower Americans' health care costs, including taking action on Democrats' A Better Deal to Lower the Cost of Prescription Drugs proposal.
Rep. Johnson also highlighted new state-by-state data detailing the consequences of Trumpcare and the GOP sabotage effort for Georgians.
