WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 21, the winner of Congressman Hank Johnson's (GA-04) 2022 Congressional Art Competition, Christopher Ramos of Newton County, was honored in Washington, D.C. as part of a national reception to honor arts winners from across the country.
Ramos, a freshman from Newton High School now a rising sophomore, was recognized for his piece titled "bereavement." Ramos was awarded the grand prize for the Fourth Congressional District, which is a $12,000 scholarship to the Savanah College of Art & Design (SCAD).

CONYERS, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that More Than Conquerors, Inc. of Conyers, a nonprofit organization that helps young people make healthy choices, received a $1.5 million U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) grant.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that he secured the inclusion of more than $15 million for 13 community projects in Georgia's Fourth District in the FY23 appropriations – Congress's annual spending plan.

The inclusion of this funding in the Appropriations Committee bills is the first step in the budgetary process.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) and Rep. Grace Meng (NY-06) introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate April 30 as National Adult Hepatitis B Vaccination Awareness Day.

H. Res. 1072 has the support of 13 other members in the House. Senator Mazie Hirono (HI) introduced the Senate companion resolution – S. Res. 602.

Brookwood High School junior Niheer Patel took an interest in computer coding at an early age.

In fact, he was a just third-grader in elementary school when he first started to work on codes. He's quick to point out his early computer codes were nothing too elaborate, but he has stuck with it.
