115th Congress
Dear Friends,
With each passing day, President Trump and members of his Administration continue to face scrutiny and investigation into their ties with Russian officials.
I will remain diligent on the issues that matter to the 4th district, whether it be Veteran Affairs, Immigration, Transportation Projects, Housing, Equal opportunities and Equal rights, or Social Security benefits. That is what keeps me in office. However I cannot, we cannot, stand by and let the President dismiss these investigations from his Twitter page.
On June 17th, Americans will stand together to recognize National Citizenship Day of Action. This is an opportunity for immigrants to learn how they can have a stronger voice in America and the future of our country.
This is the fourth annual Immigrant Heritage Month. Each year, we take time in June to share and honor the inspirational, heart felt stories of our nation's immigrants.
I am proud to work with the immigrant communities in the Fourth Congressional District. One in particular is the Clarkston community. Clarkston has served as a safe haven for thousands of refugee families over the years and is home to a range of successful immigrant-owned businesses. The City of Clarkston is often referred to as "the most diverse square mile in America."

He is among 11 South DeKalb students nominated to a service academy by U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson. Maxwell said both of his parents, Freddy and Karen Blackman, served in the military.
US Rep. Hank Johnson (D-4th) characterized Trump's actions as reckless and arrogant, and said he was ignoring reality.
President Trump's reckless and arrogant abandonment of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, signed by 193 of the world's 195 countries, is a historic blunder that places appeasement to fossil fuel interests over the health of our environment and its people.
U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson recognized military veterans who served in the post-Korean War era, including those who served in the Vietnam War, on Friday.
Johnson held an "Extending the Legacy" program at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia as part of commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
