U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., has teamed up with 15 colleagues to introduce legislation designed to address election integrity.

H.R. 3132 is designed to amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002. It is being support by several groups including the National Election Defense Coalition, Common Cause, Transforming Justice Coalition, People Demanding Action, Progressive Democrats of America and Verified Voting, UHCAN and the Hip Hop Caucus.

GEORGIA - Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), is pleased to announce that two students from Georgia's Fourth Congressional District have been selected to participate in the 2017-2018 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Program.

Rising junior Sonia Karkare of Decatur High School and rising senior Emily Lent of Providence Classical Christian School are two of 50 total students from the Southeast and Puerto Rico to be awarded this fully funded scholarship.

WASHINGTON - Today, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee applauded the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for finalizing a rule to prohibit the use of pre-dispute, binding ("forced") arbitration in contracts for consumer financial products such as checking or savings accounts, student loans, or credit cards.
