WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today was elected Secretary of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

His term begins January 3, 2019 and lasts through the 116th Congress – ending Dec. 31, 2020. The Secretary of the CBC keeps minutes of all meetings, maintains a file of all official documents and records, ensures members are notified of meetings and works in conjunction with the chair to sign or endorse any agreements, checks, drafts or notes on behalf of the CBC.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the Democratic Caucus votes on Wednesday to elect its leaders for the 116th Congress, Rep. Johnson fully endorsed Leader Nancy Pelosi as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives in a letter to his colleagues.
