Johnson voted to increase the paychecks of American workers by passing H.R. 582, the Raise The Wage Act, to gradually increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025 and restore the value of work in our economy by lifting struggling workers and their families out of poverty.

WASHINGTON — Gainesville U.S. Rep. Doug Collins squared off against Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday, using a parliamentary tactic to punish the House's top leader for comments she made about President Donald Trump on the floor.

As the House voted, Lithonia Democrat Hank Johnson lambasted Republicans for using a "cheap, dilatory parliamentary tactic" against Pelosi.

"To prove what point?" Johnson said. "They're making things worse for themselves, and I'm ashamed of the conduct of my friends on the other side of the aisle."

Congressmen introduce bill to protect traveling public

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to make highways around the nation safer for drivers, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) – along with his colleague Rep. Jesús G. "Chuy" García of Illinois – introduced the "Safe Roads Act of 2019" (H.R. 3773), which would direct the Department of Transportation to require that all new commercial motor vehicles be equipped with an automatic emergency braking system.
