DECATUR, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is urging hardworking families in Georgia's Fourth District to file their taxes before the upcoming May 17th deadline to ensure they receive the accurate amount in new advance monthly Child Tax Credit payments they are entitled to as soon as possible.

Johnson said the expanded and improved Child Tax Credit could lift more than 14,000 children in Georgia's Fourth district out of poverty and more than half of those out of deep poverty.

LITHONIA, GA — Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today announced he will be part of a multi-event vaccination tour of his district over the next 10 days – especially before Mother's and Father's Day – "do it for mama" said Congressman Johnson, who is making a push for young people to get vaccinated to protect not just themselves but their family – especially mom.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, on the 60th anniversary of the first Freedom Rides, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, reminded his colleagues that he has a resolution calling on Congress to award the Freedom Riders the Congressional Gold Medal.

More than 60 members of Congress – including more than a dozen members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) – joined Rep. Johnson as original cosponsors of the bill introduced in February 2021.
