Congresistas quieren reformar Programa del Pentágono 1033 que da armas de grado militar gratis a departamentos locales de policiales

WASHINGTON, DC - Hoy, el representante Hank Johnson (GA-04) y el representante Raúl Labrador (R) (ID-01) introdujeron el proyecto de ley bipartidista el Acta del 2014 Detengan la Militarización de la Policía (HR 5478), el que pondría restricciones y medidas de transparencia al programa del Departamento de Defensa (DOD) que transfiere equipo militar excedente a las agencias policiales estatales y locales.

Congresista Johnson ocupó el puesto número 18 de los más de 200 demócratas en la Casa

WASHINGTON, DC - De acuerdo con un nuevo estudio realizado por la Universidad de Vanderbilt y la Universidad de Virginia (UVA), Representante Hank Johnson (GA-04) fue clasificado como el 18ª demócrata más eficaz en la Cámara durante el Congreso 112, y el demócrata más eficaz de Georgia.

También ocupó el puesto más alto que cualquiera de sus colegas republicanos de Georgia. Johnson se clasificó 18 de los 204 demócratas.
