WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) released this statement on the Supreme Court decision on marriage equality:
“Today’s historic Supreme Court ruling means all Americans – regardless of their gender or gender identity – have the right to marry the person they love,” Johnson said. “It also reaffirms equal protection under the law in accordance with the Fourteenth Amendment. We are all more free when all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) today re-introduced his bipartisan bill to address a growing problem of parasitic diseases – mostly in poor, minority populations along the U.S.-Mexico border, the rural South, Appalachia and distressed urban areas.
The bill passed the House of Representatives in 2010, but stalled in the Senate.

“Today, for the second time, the Supreme Court has upheld the Affordable Care Act,” Johnson said. “The Court’s decision ensures that all eligible Americans, regardless of where they live, have the access to tax credits that help them afford life-saving health care.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, after it was announced the economy added 280,000 new jobs in the 63rd consecutive month of private sector job creation, Rep. Johnson called on Republicans to stop endangering hundreds of thousands of American jobs and act immediately to avert the impending expiration of two key engines of job creation: the Export-Import Bank and the Highway and Transit Trust Fund.
