ATLANTA, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) received an honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree from his alma mater Clark Atlanta University (CAU) during the university’s 27th Commencement.
Rep. Johnson graduated from then Clark College in 1976 with a degree in Political Science. He went on to Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, for his law degree in 1979.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) said that he is pleased to vote today for a package of bipartisan initiatives that are designed to address the opioid epidemic, but is very concerned the package does not contain any funding to implement these initiatives.
“Every day, 78 Americans die due to an opioid overdose,” Rep. Johnson said.
