Dear Friends, The month of March was busy to say the least. We accomplished great work both in D.C. and through a series of events at home in the district. In D.C., among introducing bills and speaking out against "TrumpCare," I served as a ranking member in my first T&I subcommittee hearing on the issue of the country's national preparedness system.
Although I have hosted five town halls to date, more work is necessary to ensure that the benefits and accomplishments of the past eight years for all Americans aren't abolished with a stroke of the pen.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressmen Hank Johnson (GA-04), Tom Marino (PA-10), and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) have teamed up to reintroduce a bipartisan, bicameral bill today that would require the military to phase out the use of live animals and instead use the advanced medical technology in combat trauma courses.
CLARKSTON, G.A.—On Jan. 15, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) co-hosted an event to take a stand against the GOP agenda and its budget.
The town hall was co-hosted by Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry.
The event was held to hold the GOP accountable for their budget that calls for drastic cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and dismantling the Affordable Care Act. Congressman Johnson praised the Obama administration at the event and echoed the voices of many guest speakers who have pledged to hold the GOP in Washington accountable.

Thank you Lee for that kind introduction, and thank you to the DeKalb Veterans Advisory Board for inviting me here this morning.
Congratulations to our esteemed honoree today – Major General Maria Britt U.S. Army Retired. I look forward to your thoughts and hearing from all our speakers.
