Congressman Hank Johnson has consistently championed policies to strengthen the economy and uplift working Americans. He’s supported job-creating legislation, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Package and investments in projects and training programs for local industries in Georgia's 4th District. Hank led efforts to increase wages by voting for the Raise the Wage Act and co-sponsored critical job-supporting bills like the Summer Jobs Act and the Federal Jobs Guarantee Development Act. He has also backed legislation that protects consumers, ensures fair wages, and safeguards families from financial exploitation. Going forward, he remains committed to creating jobs, extending unemployment benefits when needed, protecting workers' rights, and supporting middle-class tax relief.

Congressman Hank Johnson held a telephone town hall from his Washington, D.C. office on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. He called more than 50,000 residents in the Fourth District to hear their thoughts on a wide-range of issues such as what the Democratic Party is doing to make sure their voice is heard on Capitol Hill and the Trump Administrator's immigration policies at our borders.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today introduced the Minorities in Aviation Education Act, H.R. 6005, which would create a grant program aimed at improving the preparation and representation of minorities in aviation-related fields.

The congressman's office said his district — which includes Rockdale and parts of Gwinnett, DeKalb and Newton counties — has the highest pay equity of any congressional district in Georgia, according to a National Partnership for Women and Families report.
