WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Johnson (GA-04) voted to make historic investments in American jobs, opportunity and working families with H.R. 4502, a package to fund the federal government in the next fiscal year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today that four venues in his district will receive more than $542,000 in Shuttered Venue Operators Grants (SVOG).

The four venues receiving funds are:

• A.R.T. Station in Stone Mountain: $61,609

• Onstage Atlanta in Scottdale: $84,521

• J.D. Entertainment, LLC in Covington: $391,798

• Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts in Conyers: $4,291.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) defended consumers and businesses victimized by scams and fraud by voting for H.R. 2668, the Consumer Protection and Recovery Act. This legislation restores the authority of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to take lawbreakers to court and recover stolen funds for victims of scam, fraud and other illegal activities. The agency had exercised this power for more than 40 years before the Supreme Court stripped this authority in April.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Hank Johnson (Ga-04) voted for H.R. 1443, the LGBTQ Business Equal Credit Enforcement and Investment Act, which improves equal access to credit for LGBTQ-owned small businesses by taking steps to improve data collection by financial institutions. This important bill will improve transparency around lending practices at financial institutions so that communities, government agencies and lenders can advance fair and equal credit access for the LGBTQ business community.

Washington, D.C. -- On June 2, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet Chairman Henry C. "Hank" Johnson, Jr. (D-GA) sent a letter to Spotify Founder and CEO Daniel Ek requesting information on the platform's "Discovery Mode" feature, which allow artists and record labels to identify particular songs that they would like to prioritize in Spotify's recommendations in exchange for agreeing to be paid a lower, "promotional" royalty rate.

DECATUR, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is urging hardworking families in Georgia's Fourth District to file their taxes before the upcoming May 17th deadline to ensure they receive the accurate amount in new advance monthly Child Tax Credit payments they are entitled to as soon as possible.

Johnson said the expanded and improved Child Tax Credit could lift more than 14,000 children in Georgia's Fourth district out of poverty and more than half of those out of deep poverty.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to lower prescription drug prices by streamlining and making it more cost effective for generic drug makers to get their products to consumers for certain categories of often high-priced drugs called "biologics," Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA-04) and Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA-50) reintroduced the Affordable Prescriptions for Patients Through Improvements to Patent Litigation as an amendment to the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act of 2009 (BPCIA).
