Congressmen introduce bill to protect traveling public

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to make highways around the nation safer for drivers, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) – along with his colleague Rep. Jesús G. "Chuy" García of Illinois – introduced the "Safe Roads Act of 2019" (H.R. 3773), which would direct the Department of Transportation to require that all new commercial motor vehicles be equipped with an automatic emergency braking system.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted to pass H.R. 2722, the Securing America's Federal Elections (SAFE) Act, to guard against foreign interference in our democracy by providing funding to states to update and secure their state's voting systems. The bill mandates paper ballot voting systems, post-election risk-limiting audits, and strict cybersecurity requirements for both election technology vendors and for voting systems. It builds on the boldest set of democracy reforms passed by the House in H.R.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) released the following statement at the Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial, and Administrative Law this hearing: Justice Denied: Forced Arbitration and the Erosion of our Legal System.
