Thank you, Chairman Nadler, for bringing this important bill before the Committee. And I'd like to thank the former ranking member of this Committee, my Georgia colleague Doug Collins and the co-lead on this bill, for his partnership on working to make federal court records freely accessible to all Americans.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, voted today on an historic markup in House Judiciary Committee of The Trademark Modernization (TM) Act, a bipartisan, bicameral bill that provides new procedures to ensure that the United States maintains a robust trademark system that minimizes barriers to entry and properly protects both consumers and brand owners.

Congressman Johnson is the original sponsor of the bill. The bill now goes before the full House for a vote.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) voted to pass an amendment to prevent the Justice Department from spending any federal funds for the Trump Administration's lawsuit to strike down the Affordable Care Act.
"For months, the coronavirus crisis has wreaked a deadly toll on the lives and livelihoods of the people of Georgia and all Americans," said Rep. Johnson. "Today, as our nation reached a staggering 4.5 million people infected, the need for access to quality, affordable health care is more critical than ever.

Hank Johnson about counterfeit goods available on Amazon -- from bogus medicine to car tires and dangerous kids products -- Bezos said the company does "a lot" to prevent the issue, including investments of "hundreds of millions of dollars" into systems to prevent it and a team of more than 1,000 people who address what he described as a "scourge."

Hank Johnson (GA-04) took bold action to build on the Affordable Care Act to lower health costs and prescription drug prices for all Americans by joining House Democrats to pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act. Today's vote comes days after the Trump Administration filed a brief asking the Supreme Court to strike down the entirety of the ACA.
