Congressman Johnson ranked 18 out of more than 200 Democrats in House
WASHINGTON, D.C. – According to a new study by Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia (UVA), Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) was ranked as the 18th most effective Democrat in the House during the 112th Congress, and the most effective Democrat from Georgia.
He was also ranked higher than any of his Republican colleagues from Georgia. Johnson was ranked 18 out of 204 Democrats.
LITHONIA, GA – U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) is hosting “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds” town hall on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur.

LITHONIA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), a member of the House Judiciary Committee and ranking member of the subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law, today announced more than $1.3 million from Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Office for DeKalb County to hire 15 officers.
It is part of a $121.4 million COPS Hiring Program (CHP) nationwide to create and/or preserve law enforcement jobs. Grants will be made to 212 different local law enforcement agencies across the country.
LITHONIA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today announced more than $928,000 in Department of Health & Human Services grants will go to the DeKalb Board of Health to support programs aimed at preventing chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
Funded in part by the Affordable Care Act, the awards will strengthen state and local programs aimed at fighting these chronic diseases, which are the leading causes of death and disability in the United States, and help lower our nation’s health care costs.
