Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), ranking member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law (RRCAL), issued the following statement concerning Microsoft's announcement that it will buy LinkedIn for $26.2 billion, a deal that could bring significant changes for the professional network’s more than 430 million members:

“Microsoft's proposed acquisition of LinkedIn is one of the largest acquisitions of a technology company in history,” Johnson stated.

ATLANTA, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) received an honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree from his alma mater Clark Atlanta University (CAU) during the university’s 27th Commencement.
Rep. Johnson graduated from then Clark College in 1976 with a degree in Political Science. He went on to Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, for his law degree in 1979.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) today introduced the “Verifying Optimal Tools for Elections Act of 2016 or (VOTE Act: H.R. 5131),” which would allocate more than $125 million dollars in HAVA (Help America Vote Act) grants to assist states in replacing old, outdated voting machines.
