CONYERS, GA – Rep. Hank Johnson is holding his third Career Expo in the past 14 months to help residents find work, plan a new career or bolster their interviewing skills. The expo is Friday, July 9 at the Rockdale County Career Academy in Conyers.
The expo is being held in conjunction with Rockdale County.
With Rockdale County’s unemployment rate hovering around 12 percent and DeKalb County at 10.7 percent, Johnson said it’s important to continue bringing federal investment to our community.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Hank Johnson voted for the DISCLOSE Act, a bill to reduce corporate and foreign influence in U.S. elections by tightening disclosure and transparency requirements. The legislation narrowly passed the House of Representatives. Only two Republicans voted for the bill.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) today voted for legislation that will leverage $300 billion in lending for small businesses and create hundreds of thousands of jobs.
The legislation, which expands much-needed lending to small businesses and offers tax incentives to help America’s small businesses grow, is fully paid for and will save taxpayers $1 billion over the next 10 years.

Congressman introduces ‘common sense’ bill to protect traveling public
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seeking to make airports around the nation safer for the general public and the law enforcement officers who patrol them, Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) today introduced the “Airport Security Act of 2010.”
The bill would prohibit people other than local law enforcement and Homeland Security employees from carrying guns – concealed or otherwise – in airport terminals, lobbies, baggage claim areas, ticket counters and outside in pick-up and drop-off areas.
