Rep. Johnson's Statement on President Trump's Dangerous Rhetoric on North Korea

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) released the following statement after President Trump threatened the North Korean regime with "fire and fury like the world has never seen" during a photo opportunity at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey:

"The president's recent 'fire and fury' rhetoric is inflammatory, unsettling and dangerous. President Trump should realize that his comments have real consequences, and he should be more careful so as to avoid making matters worse. One unstable leader with a hand on the nuclear button is too many. We should give the U.N. sanctions passed last week a chance to work. Times like this call for calm, rational and multilateral diplomacy."
