Rep. Johnson holds free Affordable Care Act info event

October 22, 2013

LITHONIA, GA – On Friday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) held a free information event on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at Georgia Piedmont Technical College on North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkson.

Small business owners and individuals received help applying for health insurance through the marketplace exchanges created under the ACA. Certified community health centers and navigators also assisted qualified applicants.

“It is essential that we take advantage of the opportunity to be in touch with our constituents about the ACA, to explain and help implement the law so people without health insurance can get the coverage they and their family need,” said Rep. Johnson.

“The Affordable Care Act is not only about securing affordable, quality and accessible health care for every American, but it is also about wellness and prevention, economic security and entrepreneurship, the well-being of working families and the strength of the middle class.”
