Rep. Johnson to compete in 2021 Member Online All-Star Competition
DECATUR, GA—Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, announced today that he is competing in this year’s Member Online All-Star Competition, which challenges House Democratic Members and Committee Majorities to boost their followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube over a three-week period.
“This year’s competition will challenge me and my staff to find creative ways to reach constituents and share useful information with the public,” said Rep. Johnson. “Follow, like and make yourself heard on my social media platforms. Social media continues to be a critical place to encourage voters, supporters and communities in general across Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District to keep up the good fight for justice and equality.”
The top 50 Members, three Committees, and two Caucuses that gain the most new followers will be named as “Online All-Stars” in a competition that, in past years, has seen House Democrats add more followers in three weeks than in a typical six-month period.
During the three-week competition, which began on July 7, the number of new followers gained by Members, Committees, and Caucuses are tracked on a scoreboard. The top finisher will be named the MVP.
