Rep. Johnson Announces Office Changes to Mitigate COVID-19 Spread
DECATUR, GA — Today, March 12, 2020, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced changes to office operations in both his Washington, D.C. and Georgia offices. The changes include:
1. The physical location of the Washington, DC office will be closed the week of March 16, and staff will begin teleworking. All meetings will be held virtually.
2. The Georgia office in Decatur will remain open for staff only. All meetings will be held virtually.
3. At the direction of the Sergeant-at-Arms the Capitol building is closed to tours beginning Friday, March 13.
“To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, my office is enacting new measures to protect the health and safety of our community, which is our top priority,” said Congressman Johnson. “We will continue serving constituents via e-mail and phone but will be limiting in-office meetings for the foreseeable future. I encourage all Georgians to closely follow the guidelines of both the CDC and our local public health officials.”
