Rep. Hank Johnson on Acuity Brands jobs, facility expansion

LITHONIA, GA – U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson (GA04) released the following statement on the news that Acuity Brands will expand its operation, creating 700 jobs and investing more than $16 million into Rockdale and DeKalb counties over the next five years:

“For Acuity to be retrofitting an existing building in Decatur to become its new state-of-the-art engineering and technology center just down the street from our Congressional District office is tremendous news for the Fourth Congressional District,” said Johnson. “And the fact that they are also investing in their Conyers facility means they will be creating good, high-paying jobs in our community for many years to come. As Congressman, I’ve always enjoyed working with Acuity, and I look forward to working with them well into the future.”
