Judiciary Republicans Reject Dems Efforts to Investigate Comey Firing

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) supports his fellow House Judiciary Committee Democratic members in walking out of a committee hearing today after Republicans, for the second time since July, used hardball tactics to cover up and protect President Donald Trump from Democratic attempts to force an investigation of his firing of former FBI Director James Comey:

“House Republicans stooped to a new low today, and appear desperate in their futile attempts to prevent the American people from holding President Trump accountable,” said Johnson. “I will stand with my fellow Democrats until we get to the truth. House Republicans can continue to carry the President’s water, but I would remind them that the country is watching and history is taking note.”
